JEE Advanced 2016 is going to be held on 22nd May 2016. Only candidates qualifying JEE Mains will be applicable to give JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced will be conducted by 7 zonal IIT’s IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay. The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to various bachelor’s degree programmes in 23 IITs, including Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad along with other reputed engineering institutes.
This national level engineering entrance exam is the second stage of JEE. It will be conducted only for top 2 lakh rank holders of JEE Main in 2016. As CBSE has announced JEE Main 2016 cutoff, which is 100 for General category candidates, 70 for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL), 52 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 48 for Scheduled Tribe (ST), the top 2 lakh candidates above this cutoff in different categories will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2016. A candidate can attempt this exam a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. JEE Advanced 2016 will have 2 objective type papers. Each paper will be of 3 hours duration.
JEE Advanced 2016 Answer Key will contain the correct answers of all sets of questions papers. Answer key is very helpful for a candidate in a way that the candidates can use it to check their answers and can estimate their scores in JEE Advanced 2016.
